- Abstract
Stephen Pinter was a distinguished engineer and leader whose life was shaped by early adversity in wartime Hungary and Wodonga refugee camps. After moving to Melbourne, gaining an engineering degree and joining WP Brown & Partners, he contributed to major projects including Park Towers and the 1975 Charles Grimes Bridge. Pinter's leadership transformed Brown Consulting into a corporate entity, expanding its reach into Queensland and Asia. Renowned for his commitment to innovation, he championed new technologies and global best practices. Pinter was also a passionate advocate for the engineering profession, actively participating in professional associations.
