- Abstract
The paper describes the design and construction of two double track railway viaducts, completed during 1929, at Albion and Glenroy, Victoria. These two viaducts are of interest, on account of size being the largest trestle bridges built in Australasia to date, and on account of the adoption of unusual features, viz., the use of two girders per span to carry the double track, the use of K bracing in the towers, and the use of broad flange beams as columns.
