Abstract

This address highlights recent Institution affairs; the economic crisis; consideration of appearance in engineering works; the engineer in public life; engineering investigation and research as part of the daily task; the protection of an exposed steel watermain from external corrosion; and the investigation to determine the suitability of an extensive sand bed area as a source of water supply.
