Abstract

The A. Ramsay Moon Medal, commenced in 1973, is awarded as a bronze medal to the author of the best paper published each year in "The Australian Welding Journal". This article includes an extensive biography of Allan Ramsay Moon, drawn from a speech given in 1972 by A. H. Langdon, President of the Australian Welding Institute, and other data provided by Moon's contemporaries.
