- Abstract
A large historic stable building at Randwick NSW has been brought close to collapse by termite attack. Measures had to be taken to provide much needed wind bracing in the structure as well as to repair the extensive damage, without detracting from the ornate Victorian architectural style of the building's interior. This was achieved by the use of composite timber and high strength steel frame members to match the originals, and the introduction of Victorian style cross bracing.
