- Abstract
This paper looks at the invention in America, and manufacturing and use in New Zealand, of wind powered pumps - what Kiwis commonly call windmills. The research methods devised are described, along with important facts on windmills in New Zealand. The paper shows how the presently manufactured windmills are technologically primitive and even backward.
