- Abstract
The discovery of the remains of a second-class torpedo boat at Queenscliff, Victoria has highlighted the need for further research into the development of torpedo warfare in the State of Victoria with particular reference to the Whitehead torpedo and the two second-class torpedo boats purchased from J. I. Thornycroft and Co. by the Victorian Government in 1882.
