- Abstract
The establishment of the Cobdogla Irrigation Museum was the major contribution of the Engineering and Water Supply Department of the South Australian Government to the State's sesqui-centenary celebrations in 1986. The main objectives were to conserve and operate various items of steam, gas and oil fired equipment, including a unique Humphrey Internal Combustion Pump, and display the irrigation history of the Region. The concept, planning and development of the museum are described.
