- Abstract
This paper describes the tin technology which has survived in the Irvinebank area in North Queensland as well as analysing the interest and responsibility shown by local people in preserving that technology. The paper seeks to highlight the role of enterprising private individuals in preservation without the assistance of a framework of heritage legislation and little financial help.
