- Abstract
Wood samples from around the world, collected by Henry Thomas Wardle, a timber merchant from Ballarat. He donated the collection to the former Victorian School of Forestry, which became part of the University of Melbourne in 1973. The estimated size of the collection is between 1,200-1,500 specimens. Most specimens measure approximately 20 x15 x2 cm. Each wood sample (specimen) is marked with genus and common name. The collection is located at the Creswick Campus of The University of Melbourne.
