Summary

St Vincent's Hospital was established in Darlinghurst, Sydney, by the Sisters of Charity. It is part of St Vincent's Health Network Sydney, the New South Wales arm of St Vincent's Health Australia which includes St Vincent's Research Campus, St Vincent's Hospital and Sacred Heart Health Service in Darlinghurst New South Wales, as well as St Joseph's Hospital in Auburn New South Wales.

Details

St Vincent's Health Network Sydney provides extensive clinical health care and training. It also conducts extensive medical research. St Vincent's Research Campus is composed of a number of research institute including:

  • Garvan Institute of Medical Research;
  • The Kinghorn Cancer Centre;
  • Kirby Institute;
  • Victor Chang Cardiac Research Institute;
  • St Vincent's Centre for Applied Medical Research;
  • Nursing Research Institute; and
  • The Cunningham Centre for Palliative Care.
