Summary

Charles Lane-Poole was Conservator of Forests, Western Australia from 1916 to 1926, and in 1922 undertook a survey of the timber resources of Papua and New Guinea. From 1926 to 1945 he was Inspector-General in the Commonwealth Forestry School, Canberra.
