Summary
William Archer, born in Launceston, Tasmania, studied architecture in England and designed many Tasmanian buildings. His interest in botany led to his study at Kew Gardens, England 1856-1858 and his contribution of drawings to J.D. Hooker's Flora Tasmaniae.
