Summary

Beginning in 1939 as the Electrotechnology Section of the CSIR/O National Standards Laboratory, the CSIR/O Division of Electrotechnology was created in 1945 along with its two sister divisions, Metrology and Physics. It was later merged with the CSIR/O Division of Metrology to form the CSIRO Division of Applied Physics, in the 1962.
