Description

The 3rd Australian engineering heritage conference was held in Adelaide, South Australia, 1-3 Dec 1986.

Abstract

The Conference aims to demonstrate to engineers how experience with preserving and presenting engineering history is answering the many questions raised by engineers when heritage is mentioned. Conference papers will particularly address the following questions: What are the responsibilities?, Who has responsibility?, When does heritage value start?, How should heritage be promoted?, How can the public interest be attracted, held and capitalised upon?, How should heritage items be displayed?, and How should the practitioners evaluate items?
